Jaslyn & Jason had a gorgeous setting and perfect weather to match for their wedding day. I seriously could have photographed these two by themselves all day on these beautiful grounds. Enjoy the photos and read about their favorite wedding moments and their words of wisdom for newly-engaged couples below.
What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
Jaslyn: My favorite part of the wedding was walking down the aisle during the ceremony. It felt so amazing to know that the moment Jason and I had been waiting for was finally about to happen. Seeing the faces of all of our family and friends also helped to settle my nerves surprisingly. Overall I was just really moved by how beautiful everything was at the ceremony. It felt like I was in a fairy tale.
Jason: My favorite moment was after we walked out of the ceremony an had a private moment to ourselves. And when we went out at dusk to take a few photos, I liked having just a little moment to ourselves.
Why did you choose Leslie to be your wedding photographer?
We chose Leslie after seeing her work from a friend’s wedding and the awesome photos she captured of us catching the bouquet and garter!
Now that you’re married, and you’ve been through planning a wedding together, what advice would you give to other couples who are just starting the process?
Jaslyn: My advice for other couples getting married is to stay calm and always keep a positive attitude. I know it sounds cliché, but I sincerely believe that your attitude alters your experience. It is highly unlikely that every single thing is going to work out perfectly on your wedding day, so I think it’s best to remind yourself that you can’t control everything. What you can control however, is how you react. If you choose to brush off the things that go wrong, then you will truly be able to enjoy and appreciate all the things that go right. For example, during our ceremony our officiant’s iPad froze and as a result he had to step away for a few minutes. Jason and I were left at the altar waiting for him to return but rather than freak out about it, we just laughed it off and took the opportunity to speak to one another a little bit. It is something we will never forget and will always laugh about.
Jason: Do what makes you happy – whether it’s a big or small wedding, whether it means inviting people or not inviting people, do what makes you happy.
What’s next for the two of you?
As a married couple we plan to continue working hard so that we can travel and see new places every year. We also look forward to having children in the future!
